The Flood

Adventure Videos

The account of Noah is one of the most famous accounts in the Bible. You see images of the story in church nurseries and children’s Bibles, despite the heavy context of the story.

So how does one share the details of the great flood, while highlighting God’s promises, and engaging the imagination?

The Flood Zine is a path to help you share this story with ease and truth. It is important to highlight the reality the world was broken and humanity had lost its way, so kids identify God’s redemptive nature. In the account of Noah, we see God covering creation in the ark, then baptizing the world in water to remind humanity God has made a promise to us all through tangible signs, like water and rainbows.

How to Share Story.

StoryMakers love to play the parts of each story. It is so much fun to jump into character. Kids may dress up, use their puppets, and create fun voices. We recommend parts be given to kids and encourage them to image they are in the story themselves. Once kids jump into character they will be ready to dive into fun-facts, social-emotional prompts, and complete the chapter with an activity page.

The Big Idea.

You see ultimately we are sharing with our kids that there will be Floods in life, BUT fear, not creation has not been left on its’ own…because just as God sought out Noah…he seeks each of our StoryMakers too…actively covering us in his promises to us.
