Welcome to StoryMakers

We are a not-for-profit creative studio that designs imaginative resources for kids of all ages. We spark curiosity, hope, and faith by drawing individuals into God's redemptive narrative in the stories of the Bible. We focus on facilitating the formation experience for churches and families as we seek to deepen the Christian faith of children and grown-ups alike.

We do this primarily through the tools we offer: zines, playbooks, guides, puppets, memory cards, and other visuals. Each adventure offers kids the opportunity to get creative, play, make social-emotional connections, and find themselves in the story of God’s love.

Our Story

Once upon a time, there was a tiny group of artists, writers, and jacks-of-all-trades who came together to create something new for children and families and churches everywhere! After a lot of scribbling, sketching, thinking, and designing, Mel named us StoryMakers. God is the ultimate “Story Maker,” and since we are His beloved children, our stories are woven into God’s Big Story!

We started the adventure with the very first story of the Bible: Creation. Now, we are retelling the story of the entire Old Testament through our “adventure zines” and the New Testament through our “liturgical zines.” With trademark whimsy and engaging social-emotional connectors, StoryMakers shares the Gospel with kids who encounter our resources through their families and churches.

StoryMakers was born in 2019. We are a not-for-profit creative studio that designs imaginative resources for kids that bring the Bible to life. We want kids, teens, and grownups to know that God is with them, for them, and actively redeeming them.
