Two Types?

There are two types of people in this world—well, maybe a few in-betweens, too. But generally, one type of person is NOT easily embarrassed. They find it easy to be playful and silly. It’s fun for them.

And then there is the type of person who struggles to know how to muster a silly voice.

They blush at the thought of speaking in front of others. It makes them feel awkward and embarrassed.

Wherever you land on this spectrum, being silly does a great deal of good for our kids, ESPECIALLY if you fall into the serious camp. And you might be surprised at how good being silly with your kid could be for YOU, too!

Jesus taught through stories. The Bible is FULL of dynamic adventures. And it’s hard to capture the full scope of a story when we can’t get a little playful or silly. So, if the struggle is real, we got you covered!

Turn to your shadow puppets. Did you know puppets can be the BEST friends of the most embarrassed and serious grown-ups? You can let them do the talking! And if you’re feeling extra spontaneous, you can pull out a flashlight to create shadows, bringing even more illumination and excitement to your adventure.

Do you think you could give it a go? We promise you won’t regret trying. And your kids will certainly love the valiant effort!
